Don't Forget To Love Yourself!
February is the month of love but we tend to forget to take the time to love OURSELVES! We like to remind each other at the salon to take a little time to make ourselves feel a little special so here are a few things we like to do that we hope brings you some relaxation and restoration.

When our homes start feeling stuffy and we just need to get out some of us take ourselves on a movie date. Sometimes you need to get out and spend time with yourself! If leaving your house or paying for a movie (and $6 popcorn) isn't an option staying home with your favorite blanket and watching your favorite movie is also a GREAT way to escape the normal day.
One of Roxann's favorite feel good movies includes Mamma Mia 1, and 2!
Our world is full of screens - computer screens, phone screens, and television screens. If you stare at a screen all day maybe a movie doesn't sound all that appealing. We love to read! We are always suggesting new books to each other. Find a book that peaks your interest, grab a blanket and a hot beverage (or wine) and enjoy the escape from reality!
"Atomic Habits" by James Clear is a favorite of Desiree's and Becky is a big Harry Potter fan.
Find more great books through your local library app (i.e. Overdrive or Libby).
Making sure to move our bodies is important in all aspects of our wellness. Setting aside 30
minutes of quiet stretching is a great way to wake up your mind and body. Stretching doesn't
have to be boring, dim the lights, light a candle, play some soft music. If going to a yoga class is more your jam, DO it! It's great for stress and after the holidays we all need a little stress relief.
A great resource to get you started in yoga is "Yoga with Adriene" on YouTube or the app Keep Yoga.
February can be very gloomy and after all the caious of the busy holiday season it's easy to get a little blue. Schedules can still be busy with family, work, and other obligations. If free time is few and far between you can always take two minutes and list 5 things you are grateful for that day.
Sometimes focusing on the good for just a couple minutes can bring lots of joy.
Whatever is relaxing and rejuvinating for you is great! The important thing is to make sure to
take care of yourself the best you can. Have a great day!
